WhatIsMyIPer is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you use our service.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not:
- Use cookies or tracking technologies
- Store your IP address or personal information
- Share your data with third parties
- Use third-party analytics or advertising services
- Collect or store any personal identifiable information
Information We Process
When you visit our website or use our API, we process the following information in real-time to provide the service:
- IP Address: We read your IP address from HTTP headers to display it to you. This information is not stored.
- HTTP Headers: We read standard HTTP headers (User-Agent, Accept-Language, etc.) to provide connection information. This data is not stored.
- Cloudflare Metadata: We may display country, ASN, and data center information provided by Cloudflare. This information is not stored.
All processing happens at the edge (Cloudflare Workers) and no data is persisted to databases or logs.
Rate Limiting
We implement rate limiting (60 requests per minute per IP) to prevent abuse. This uses temporary in-memory counters that expire after one minute. No persistent storage is used for rate limiting.
Cloudflare Services
Our service is hosted on Cloudflare, which may collect standard web server logs and analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (configured in the Cloudflare dashboard) which respects privacy and does not use cookies. For more information, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
API Keys
If you use an API key, the key itself is stored in Cloudflare KV for validation purposes. API usage is not logged or tracked beyond rate limiting.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when changes were made.
